Woodfield After School Club
This is an after school club for severely disabled children and young people aged 5-19. It currently runs up to 4 nights per week from 3.30-5.30pm term-time only and is based in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire. The Club enables these young people to spend time with their friends and try out new and favourite activities in a safe and secure environment. It is fully staffed by professionals who have specialist training, experience and a vast amount of enthusiasm and patience. The very high staff ratios needed to properly support these young people mean that the Club can never be self funding and so is extremely grateful for the charitable donations and grants it receives which allow it to run.
Northchurch and District Association
This charity runs the Social Centre in Northchurch, Hertfordshire. The Centre is used weekly to run a variety of classes from children’s dance and judo to U3A drawing and art, ballroom dancing and keep fit. It is also available for private hire at weekends. The Centre was built nearly 50 years ago as a result of door to door collections in the local community and now needs substantial grants and donations in order to complete the external refurbishment needed to ensure it is there for the next 50 years.
